Animated, casual, elegant, obsessive, and irresistible...There simply are not enough words to describe Miami´s own Edward Beiner.

Edward Beiner is a leading fashion designer and retailer of the world´s finest eyewear. Considered "design guru" to a number of celebrities and film stars, Edward Beiner continues to actively influence the market with his innovative design perspective and philosophy. He came to South Florida from Brazil after making career stops in Puerto Rico, Europe and Canada. Today Edward Beiner is comprised of the finest optical retail stores and services, a national wholesale distribution channel, and an influential eyewear design practice.

Mr. Beiner and his business partner Guido Balocco met in the early 90s along the catwalk of a fashion show in Milano, Italy and knew that together they would be unstoppable. With Edward Beiner´s unequaled sense of style and Mr. Balocco´s exceptional business acumen, the Edward Beiner brand has become one of the most influential icons in the field luxury eyewear.

Guido Balocco: An internationally known and respected figure in the global eyewear industry.

Guido Balocco distinguished himself early in his career by publishing several articles in Italian Business Journals advocating the modernization of Italy´s accounting methods.

In the early 80´s he was named CEO of PERSOL, which he built into an internationally known eyewear company. He then went on to organize a joint venture with the former president of ski wear manufacturer, NORDICA, and engineering a leveraged buyout of PERSOL, becoming President and majority shareholder of the same. During the following years, sales increased six fold and skyrocketed even further after he entered into agreements with designers Moschino and Emmanuel Ungaro. In 1995 he sold the company to Luxottica, the world´s largest optical industry conglomerate.

Not being one to rest on his past accomplishments, in 2001 Mr. Balocco, joined Edward Beiner as a partner and board member. In the last four years, he has had an enormous impact on accounting, forecasting and financial controls and has been instrumental in the chain´s expansion.
